Misc. Project A - Breakfast at Belen Lutheran Church:

This program is for the poorest school-aged children in the Breña community which is where Congregation Belen is located. The program initially began feeding 25 children per day and has now grown to more than 60 per day.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and instrumental in the mental development of our children. Many families in Lima cannot afford breakfast. Belen is serving their community by providing breakfast to the poorest of the poor and we can help them.

$460 per month feeds 65 children 5 days per week (or $0.36/child/day). A regular financial contribution of any size can help. If interested please contact Jim Young.

Misc. Project B - Playground at Belen Lutheran Church in Peru:

By the Grace of God the playground at Belen was completed at the end of October, 2007. Thank you to all who supported the project. CLICK HERE to see the finished product. To view photos of playground under construction... CLICK HERE . To view photo of completed playground, CLICK HERE.

Misc. Project C - Calendars with photos of our Peruvian Children:

We plan to begin as a fund raiser for support of our projects in Peru by designing and selling a calendar. For each month of the calendar year, we would display a different child. Hopefully, we can get great photos of children from each of the churches in Peru. We are currently looking for a volunteer to handle this project. Below is a link to a web site that has made calendars for our the Doctors at "Operation San Andres." They have used this calendar firm to make their calendars. Click here for the web site. If you are interested in working on this project, please contact Mike Roberts.
